By accessing or using LocalBuzz (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LocalBuzz is a community platform that helps users discover local businesses, events, and happenings in their area. Users can browse local content, write reviews, and access premium features via subscription.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use magic link authentication — no passwords are stored. You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, ratings, photos). By submitting content, you grant LocalBuzz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service. You agree not to submit content that is false, defamatory, abusive, or violates any applicable law.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Business listings and Pro plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment information. Refunds are issued at our discretion.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to: (a) submit false or misleading reviews or business information; (b) scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data without express permission; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; (d) engage in any activity that interferes with the normal operation of the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that business listings or event information are accurate, current, or complete. Users should verify information directly with businesses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalBuzz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service, including reliance on any business or event information found on the platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email.
